YAY!!!

There was a horrible storm last night and most of the city flooded so Mommy stayed home from work today just to be safe.  Didn't want to risk getting stranded anywhere or anything happening on the road.  Daddy stayed home too!

Mommy rested most of the day and boy is she glad she did!!  Callen did all kinds of moving around today!!  It was so exciting!!  It felt like he was flipping around any way he could!

Mommy helped Daddy with some laundry so now we don't have any to do this weekend!!  She also cleaned the kitchen floor which was covered with Max's hair!!

Mommy caught up on The Voice and also watched some NCIS: Los Angeles with Daddy.

We had a very productive day and got some much needed rest.  Praise the Lord for that & for keeping all of us safe during the storm.  It's Wednesday but Mommy is going to stay home tonight instead of going to Grandma's for TV night.  She is still wearing her shirt with that STUPID camel on it though!!  :P

Tea Party Fun!!

Mommy had a lot of fun at Aunt Caty & Aunt Erin's birthday tea party!!

Slept better!!

Mommy got some good sleep last night!!!  She didn't wake up at all until her alarm went off...and she only hit snooze ONE TIME before she got up!!

Today is Aunt Caty & Aunt Erin's birthday so Mommy & Callen are going to a tea party!  (Sorry kiddo...we're gonna be girly today!!)  We're probably going to take lots of silly pictures so there will be some on here later!

Mommy's been a little worried because she hasn't felt Callen kick or move since the first time he did, but Daddy is reassuring me by saying "He's like me...he likes to SLEEP!  Leave him alone!" so I try not to poke & push at him so much.

Also, Mommy has figured out that when she rubs her belly it is probably not the best sound for Callen to hear.  She put her hands over her ears and rubbed...it was loud and annoying!  So Mommy is very sorry!  She put on KLOVE for Callen to listen to yesterday for about 10 minutes.  Hopefully he enjoyed that!

Power Yoga!!

Mommy did Power Yoga at work on her lunch break & it was great!!  Have to keep moving and stretching!!!  Dr. Freitas & Jenny Allen both said that if I exercise regularly, I will have an easier delivery!

Yesterday Mommy walked for 40 minutes on her lunch break!!  That was a record!!  (Run Keeper said so!  lol)  Today is going to be Power Yoga at the gym day so it's going to be great!!  :)

Not sleeping well!!

Mommy has not been sleeping well at all the last few nights!!  :(  Up tossing and turning so I end up staying in bed later than I would like.  Oh well!  Things will get better!!

Mommy has not been sleeping well the last few nights!!  Tossing and turning!  Moving around to get comfortable!  Up but not awake at 4:30.  It's not been the best sleep I've ever had!  :(  Good thing is I'm still able to function without naps during the day since I am still walking at lunch.  And Mommy's friend Julie has decided to start walking with me at lunch to keep me company!  YAY!!!!  :)

21 weeks!

Baby Registry

So Mommy FINALLY got Daddy to go up to Babies R Us and get the registry mostly done!  Daddy liked another Disney bedding set and decided "We don't have to match everything!!" so Callen's room is going to be Disney in general but not strictly Mickey.

Here's the bedding he chose:

We picked a lot of Monsters Inc bedroom stuff but we also chose a lot of other Disney stuff!

Daddy was funny to watch while testing the strollers and car seats!  He pulled the displays off the shelves and was trying them out and seeing how they work.  And he DOES NOT see the point of a Bumbo!!  He was pretty funny as I was walking through the store registering for stuff!

We have movement!!!!  :D

Mommy definitely felt Baby Boy kick this morning during the Easter church service!!  It was amazing!!  It was definitely a kick though!!  Mommy felt the jab on the right lower side of her belly!  :)

Mommy can feel Baby Boy's butt up against the side of her stomach!!!  It's a really hard spot...and it's pretty big so it has to be his butt!!  Haven't felt him kick yet but I think that will happen soon!!

Mommy did not sleep well!!

It stormed like crazy last night!!!  Mommy did not sleep well at all!!  She also had a weird dream about being in a spacecraft zooming through space like in Star Trek or something.  It was crazy!!

Then she noticed Daddy was not in the bed and he was down on the couch because Sir Maximillion Bonaparte decided it was a good idea to get up at 4:30 this morning.

All I know is that I am glad it's raining because that means I am doing NOTHING with my hair!!  It wouldn't matter if I did because it would end up crazy anyway!

No movement yet....

But Mommy can feel where Baby Boy is at sometimes!!  It's great!!!  He'll be pressed up against her stomach somehow and she can feel a hard spot!!  He's a pretty smart kiddo because he's learned that if we poke at him, he can just retreat to the middle where no one can feel him anymore!  When he gets bigger he won't have that option!!!  :D

Baby Boy's Room!!

So Mommy & Daddy have decided on the theme for Baby Boy's room & it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone....we decided to go with MICKEY!!  But just basic Mickey with lots of colors!

We're having....

A BOY!!!!!  :D

Mommy and Daddy are so excited to know that we are having a BABY BOY!!!  Mommy had her ultrasound today and everything looks great!!  She is only 2 lbs heavier than last visit which is WONDERFUL!!  Jenny Allen said to keep on walking and eating like she has been.  Our next appointment is Wednesday, April 7, 2014.  IT'S A BOY!!!  :D

19 weeks!

& the dreams begin!

So Mommy has been sleeping on the love seat Aunt Keisha gave us because the bed is completely uncomfortable now!  Last night she went to sleep at about 9:30 after watching some NCIS: Los Angeles and she had a dream that the Baby Buckeye was a girl.  It was a really weird dream though.  Coach Will, Ms. Terrie, Mathew, Alyse & Alden were in it.  We were at Coach & Ms. Terrie's house which looked exactly like Grandma Barren's house on the inside, the layout of the house. We were playing with the babies and that's the only thing I remember.  Then the alarm went off...YAY!!!!  Let's get up at 6:30 on Saturday!  :(  It's ok though Mommy & Daddy need to go get the oil changed in Daddy's car and then a few other errands to run.

Still no movement...

Mommy still hasn't felt the Baby Buckeye move yet!  She's felt something kinda different today but it didn't feel like the baby moving.  Probably just gas!  Check back for more updates!

Maternity clothes!

Mommy is officially wearing MATERNITY CLOTHES!!  She still has regular clothes that fit her but some of it does not.  Some of her shirts are too short with her belly now.  She can wear most of her pants and the ones that are starting to not fit she wears her Belly Band with and they are fine.  The maternity shirts are so cute!!  They have the ruching on the sides and they fit really nice!

The weather has started to warm up so Mommy is excited to start wearing dresses!!  She is going to paint her toe nails at Grandma's tonight so that she can wear her sandals!  YAY for dresses and sandals!!  (Since Yoga Pants are a "No Go" :(  For work anyway!)

Restless night...

Mommy hasn't been sleeping great the past 3 nights!  For a few weeks it was good but the last 3 she has been up tossing and turning sometime around 3 or 4 in the morning, which can make for a very long and exhausting day!

Mommy is going to try a Pilates class at the gym at work today.  Navy Federal has several fitness classes that are offered each day that get changed monthly and some are good for pregnant women, so after work we are going to get fit!!  (We are still walking every day at lunch!!)

Mommy is also trying to consume more protein.  This is harder than you think!  Jenny Allen said the baby is going to need a lot of protein so Mommy needs to consume at least 100 grams of protein each day.  She's going to start drinking a protein shake every morning which has 25 grams of protein (& only 4 grams of sugar...YAY!!)  Mommy still LOVES hard boiled eggs & surprisingly enough she doesn't have the "stomach problems" people would think she would from eating so many eggs!

We think Sir Maximillion Bonaparte knows that something is up because he ALWAYS wants to be around Mommy.  He still likes Daddy, but for the most part he wants to be close to Mommy.  He is always trying to sit & snuggle by Mommy when she is in the living room.  He lays on Mommy's side of the bed most of the time.  When there are a lot of people over he is always following Mommy and standing right by her side.  He is a GREAT dog and we think he is going to love the baby!

Well, time to get ready for the day!  Maybe something eventful will happen today!!  We shall see!  :)
