Up & at 'em!
So when the alarm went off Mommy didn't want to get out of bed! But now that she's up, had some breakfast, took my vitamins...Mommy is ready to go!!! She feels great today!! Hopefully it lasts throughout the day because Mommy am going to be going to a dinner party for her friend Ashley Wright after work. She is home from Nebraska for a visit & we're so glad we get to see her! Here's to a great day!!! :D

Got up this morning...a little sleepier than the past few days but it's good! Mommy is starting to get her energy back which she read happens toward the end of the first trimester (YAY!!!!) Which also means a lower risk of miscarriage (YAY!!!!!) Mommy's been trying to get more exercise by taking the stair at work more & getting up at work and walking more. Mommy is going to go swimming this weekend at UWF hopefully! We'll see how everything works out!

YUM!!! Mom had leftover hibachi for breakfast this morning!!! (At a normal hour too!! :) Then Subway for lunch...6 inch turkey on wheat, provolone cheese, lettuce, LOTS of pickles, vinegar, & salt & pepper! YUM!!! Plus Aunt Caty is making chicken & rice for dinner tonight while we watch the AMAZING RACE!!!!!!!!! (We are going to be rooting for the Harlem Globetrotters, Flight Time & Big Easy!! Today was a great day food wise!!!! :D

So Mommy is trying not to eat a bunch of junk...just because she is pregnant, she does not have the green light to eat whatever crap she want. Just throwing that out there. :D She's trying her best to do some sort of exercise each day, whether it be taking the stairs at work or walking at lunch. She has been to the gym a few times & needs to start going at least 3 or 4 times a week. It's ok for her as long as she doesn't overdo it or do any kind of ab work obviously! lol This may be crazy to some people but she is actually counting the calories she takes in each day because she doesn't need as many extra calories in the first trimester as she does in the second & the third. & actually Dr. Freitas said "It is going to be more about how many calories you take in than what you eat." (when Mommy asked him about weight gain) So she has been keeping track of what she eats & how many calories she takes in & she feels like she is making better choices now that she sees what she is actually eating. Her downfall right now is girl scout cookies! But she only ordered 3 boxes and her friends at work have helped with eating them! Mommy also really likes the cream cheese stuffed jalapeno poppers. But she is limiting her junk intake to 1 or 2 items a day. She also made herself take the stairs today and it is not fun doing 6 flights of stairs!! Mommy is getting ready to cook a steak for Daddy and herself for dinner along with some broccoli! She needs a lot of protein for my growing Buckeye!! :D

Tonight's dinner!
My Baby Buckeye LOVES visits to Grandma's house on Wednesday nights!! She feeds us the BEST food!! Yummy salad with chicken, eggs, cheese & raspberry vinaigrette. YUM!!!! (Baby Buckeye also loved the appetizer of jalapeno poppers before Grandma's house too! This kid loves cheese and spicy stuff!)
YAY!!!!!
Today was a first!! I actually slept through the night!! Went to bed around 8:00 PM and didn't wake up until 5:00 AM!!!! It was fabulous!! Now for my breakfast...jalapeno poppers and some yogurt!! YUM!!!

After talking with Dr. Freitas, Brian and I decided to go with a midwife, Jenny Allen. We also got recommendations about her from some friends at church. We had our first appointment with Jenny on February 12, 2014. I was about 11 1/2 weeks along. We were able to get some ultra sound pictures for the first time!
